Dedicated Teacher

Rebecca has over twenty-five years of experience in teaching music, combining her Classical background in music theory and history with Celtic improvisation to create a unique pedagogical style. Her teaching method is encouraging and friendly, specializing in adults from beginners to advanced. Her lessons cover a variety of genres and include skills such as reading music, playing by ear, improvisation and music theory and arranging. She is knowledgeable in effective techniques for practising, and can give insight into methods of playing to prevent injury. For the last ten years Rebecca has also taught group classes such as the workshops she presented with Early Music Vancouver, and a continuing summer harp workshop she founded in 2001 at Place des Arts in Coquitlam (check out the Place des Arts website for details at www. placedesarts.ca).
